Honda DN-1

Motorcycle riding, trying new motorcycle and descriptions from motorcycle BMW, Triumph, Ducati, Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Harley, Harley-Davidson, Voxan, Moto Guzzi, Aprillia

The ‘Performance Cruiser’ is the first ever Honda to feature the Human-Friendly Transmission system, a hydraulic CVT system. The system gives a constantly variable gearing ratio as well as a push-button ‘manual’ option, which shifts through six pre-set gear ratios.

Powering the bike is a 680cc v-twin taken from the Deauville, but with 10bhp less – around 55bhp.

The chassis is designed to give the rider a comfortable riding position and an easy ride, so it has a low 690mm seat height, forward-set footboard and pull-back bars.
European colours will be black or purple, but not the white or red bikes shown at the Tokyo show. Price is yet to be announced.
